About Our Balloon Décor Story
Carolyn Avery, a native of Arlington, Virginia, was raised by two wonderful parents. Carolyn is the fourth child out of seven children. She currently resides in the Triangle area of North Carolina. Carolyn received her Bachelor of Science degree in Management Studies and Criminal Justice from the University of Maryland University College in 2005 while working full-time as a Legal Secretary in Washington, DC. She concurrently practiced real estate on the side since the year of 1999. During the course of Carolyn’s corporate career, she worked as an Administrative Assistant, an Executive Secretary and a Legal Secretary. While working in the corporate industry, Carolyn acquired her real estate license in Maryland, North Carolina and Virginia, which she currently maintains as a licensed Realtor.
Carolyn developed an interest in clowning as she began to write a business plan for a future commercial business that would enable her to become an entrepreneur. As she transformed her vision into a business plan, Carolyn recalled the facial expressions of the children she encountered while accompanying a clown in Maryland who twisted and distributed balloons animals to children during an outreach. It was during the business plan writing discovery period that Carolyn decided to incorporate clowning for children’s entertainment at birthday parties to help bring joy, smiles and excitement to children and their families to create a lifetime of memories.
While attending a children’s entertainment convention in Northern Virginia, a couple classes on the schedule presented the perfect opportunity for Carolyn to explore a skill she was researching – balloon décor. It was those two classes that motivated Carolyn to pursue the art of balloon décor on a professional level that mesmerized her curiosity and deepened her research.
In less than one year, Carolyn attended several professional balloon décor classes to acquire the hands-on-skills and the techniques to build, develop and operate a thriving professional balloon décor company serving businesses and corporations of various sizes.
CC’s Balloons & Entertainment provides elegant balloon décor for both large and small corporations. weddings, birthday celebrations, anniversaries, graduations, proms, homecomings, grand openings, holiday events, baby showers, marathons, and many other events.
